Exploring the wiki exercise
- Edit this page, one person at a time
- Split into groups to edit for group work: WikiMercury, WikiVenus, WikiMars, WikiAsteroids, WikiJupiter. Brainstorm in your group's wiki page about teaching with wikis.
- Check out the other groups' work. Edit in comments. Check back on your own.
Group wiki formation exercise
- Decide on a name for your group, based on your identity and purpose.
- Make a page here.
- Head to your new page and start writing together.
Wikipedia exercise
- Head to the Wikipedia. Explore entries on topics you love and/or know something about. Edit a page where you think you have something to contribute.
- Write up your thoughts in your group's wiki page.
- Check out an entry on something you don't know much about.
- Write up your thoughts on this entry as an introduction.
- Explore an entry's discussion tab content. Comment back at your own wiki group page.
